Fun Flyball - The Low Down

What is Competitive Flyball?

Flyball is a fast, exciting relay sport where dogs race over hurdles, grab a ball and sprint back to their handler. 

It's energetic, social, and brilliant fun for dogs who love to run!

How our Fun Flyball Works

We teach Fun Flyball purely for enjoyment - no competition pressure.

Beginners learn:

  • Safe jumping

  • Ball or snack retrieval or touch down

  • Box Work

  • Confidence Building

​

Not a ball mad dog? 

No problem! Some run for food or their favourite toy instead.

​

Once signed off from Beginners, you can join the Group sessions.

Private sessions are also available.

What to Expect

Each session includes:

​

  • Training Drills

  • Jumping Practice

  • Socialisation

  • Distractions

  • Box work

  • Lots of fun!

​

Rubber-matted lanes help keep dogs safe and steady.

​

In Group classes you'll also get to try all four of the Flyball team positions:

  • Start Dog - kicks off the race

  • Middle Runners - second and third dogs

  • Anchor Dog - brings it home

Who Can Join?

Fun Flyball is suitable for dogs 9 months+

Our sessions are gentler than competitive Flyball:

  • No spring-loaded boxes - balls attach with Velcro

  • No hard impact

  • Friendly team atmosphere

  • All breeds and abilites welcome!
